Mike Ramarge wins 2008 NHHC regional finals!
Mike Ramarge from Olean OTB put on a strong stretch run to win OTB’s 2008 National Harness Handicapping Championship regional finals at Batavia Downs Gaming Sunday. Mike will represent Western Regional OTB at the NHHC national finals at the Jersey Meadowlands in June. Grand Prize is $50,000! Nine additional prizes of OTB wagering vouchers were also awarded at Sunday’s event.

“Big Brown” a real Triple Crown threat?
The question being asked at OTB branches from Oswego to Jamestown, “What can Brown do for you?” Kentucky Derby winner “Big Brown’s” strong showing Saturday at Churchill has horse racing honchos licking their chops at the thought of the first Triple Crown winner in 30 years. The confident 3-year-old bolted from the #20 hole, quickly made up the necessary real estate and coasted to a five-length win in the 134th Run for the Roses. Handicappers will be anxiously watching the odds for the second leg of the Triple Crown on May 17th when The Preakness goes off at Pimlico in Baltimore. Advance wagering at OTB on Friday, May 16.
